Here are three great digital resources that help promote student reading!
This is a website that focuses on current event stories and tailors it to different grade levels ranging from K – 12. This is a great resource for finding knowledge of an event or bringing other happenings around the world straight into the classroom.

This website provides comprehensive leveled reading resources for students. Students can access these eBooks and listen, read, or even record themselves reading! However, it does cost $99.95 per year but can be used for up to 36 students, which is a nice deal for what they offer.
3. Epic: https://www.getepic.com
An amazing digital library housing over 40,000 books. Students can find any subject or topic they are interested in and reading many different books and viewpoints. They also have videos and audios. They also provide books in Spanish, which is necessary for today’s diverse learning classrooms.

A great website for video communications. They are being use world-wide for video and audio conferencing and great methods of collaboration between people during the Coronavirus.

Rube Goldberg machines are made to complete simple tasks in very complex ways. This website is all about Rube Goldberg machines and really motivates the creative learner in all of us!

Many authors motivate us in many ways. Here Mo Williams shows how he draws his famous Piggy and Gerald series and allows learners to feel his expression and become motivated from it.

Google Classroom is a wonderful resource for classroom management. It helps with all aspects of grading assignments and also helps facilitate sharing of files between teacher and students.

As a math teacher, I love adding new and challenging math problems that really stretch and help grow students’ brains. Mathisfun website is a great resource for your learning environment as you can easily find curriculum that you will want to incorporate into your own. Plus, it has and really fun and challenging games/activities!
3. Code.org: www.code.org
Code.org is a great computer science resource that would really promote teachers’ learning environments. Computer coding is very closely related to STEM teaching and many concepts intermingle with STEM. Their curriculum is free so check it out! Great for math class too.
